Dr. Pagano, Mr. Hirschtritt, and others published a study titled, ''Moderators of fluoxetine treatment response for children and adolescents with comorbid depression and substance use disorders'' for the Journal of Substance Abuse Treatment. The research focused on adolescents with comorbid depression and substance use disorder (SUD) and the purpose was to observe the effect of fluoxetine in the sample. This was the same study that won an award at the Ohio Psychiatric Physicians Foundation annual meeting.
